Project 2 Graduate Student Cassie Korte (PhD Candidate, University of Michigan) won two poster awards this spring.

The first presentation was awarded as part of the Society of Toxicology Reproductive and Developmental Toxicology Specialty Section at the Annual Society of Toxicology Meeting in March. Cassie’s poster won first place.

The second presentation, “Oxidative insult activates parturition-associated pathways in a human placental cell line,” was awarded at the Graduate Academic Conference at Michigan State University on March 30. The conference is a forum for graduate and professional students to present their academic work to the to their peers from Michigan State University, University of Michigan, and Wayne State University. The goal of the conference is to translate what might be highly technical language into a description that is easily understood by members of the general public who may be less familiar with their research area. Cassie won best poster presentation in her session.

Congratulations Cassie!
